As countries strive to reduce greenhouse gas emissions resulting from energy generation, a combined effort is required. Efficient use of energy is required so as to reduce overall energy demand and new technologies are required so as to reduce the greenhouse gas emission resulting from the energy generation that is required.
Energy efficiency is therefore an important part of any energy policy. For this reason authorities are mandating more efficient use of energy within buildings. Many large corporations are also experiencing excellent financial returns on investing in energy efficient processes and products as part of their normal operations.
It is for this reason that energy efficiency is a core part of USSS’ investment portfolio and has been for over ten years.
